Here we are: my mother Simona, my sister Biancamaria and me Zeno. And then there is our invaluable team ready to welcome you and devote time to your curiosities, needs and requests. We try, sometimes we make mistakes but be sure that we always put a lot of passion, professionality and a lot of smiles. Our best wish is to be happy by doing the best job in the world.
My challenge to the Annunziata began on March 25, 1990 and since then it has not only become my job to welcome guests but also my passion. They say I’m the pillar of the Annunciation, maybe yes or maybe no, the fact is that you always find me morning and afternoon, from Monday to Sunday.
And when you taste the orange marmalade at the breakfast buffet, remember me: I made it with my passion for cooking and with my love to make you happy and amaze you. A little secret: don’t take away my glass of prosecco at 6pm… I might get angry.
From the pharmacy to the family hotel. The road may seem strange but in the end perhaps the path was already marked. They call me the “general” perhaps because I ask too much, I always say mine and I never shut up but in the end I too have a heart and emotions so don’t be scared if you see me serious. After I approached the hotel, I decided to follow and take care of the breakfast and plans department.
I like to serve our guests in the morning at breakfast and organize the work on the floors. Some of the cakes on the buffet are mine but who did I get the passion for cooking from if not from my mother Simona?
I’m Zeno, Zeno Govoni, and I love my name. I have been traveling under the sign of Pisces since 5 March 1969. I am the owner and administrator of the Hotel Annunziata in Ferrara.
How did I become a hotelier?I was graduating in Materials Engineering, a degree achieved in 1996, when, due to a sudden death in the family, they immediately called me to their hotel, which opened in 1990, and I have not left the reception since.
I ventured into the presidency of the Consortium of Ferrara Arte e Natura hoteliers. Passionate about my work and technology, I have never missed an edition of BTO – Buy Tourism Online. Creator and organizer of Street Dinner, the unconventional dinner in Ferrara. Winner of H-ACK Travel in H-Farm with a project presented at Starhotels and of HACKFORTRAVEL focus hospitality and T.O. with Ancillarybnb. In my free time I dedicate myself to cooking, sports and I lose myself in the arms of my four wonderful women: Eleonora, my wife, Esmeralda, Olivia and Guia my three daughters.
A curiosity? When I respond to reviews I always sign myself as “Zeno, hotelier & a happy dreamer” because as a good fish I am a great and tireless dreamer.
I have been collaborating with the Govoni family for over 20 years, which makes me an integral part of the Annunziata and the hospitality project that we have been carrying out since 1990, when it opened. At the center of my duties is guest care, there is the obsessive attention that I put into taking care of every single detail of the living room to make it feel right at home.
I find pleasure in welcoming all guests with a smile and exchanging a few words with them whenever possible, trying to give them advice and suggestions for discovering our beautiful city.
I am the one who is called into question when there are problems or some issues to be solved: I like to think that problems or misunderstandings arise to test people’s ability to undertake to find the right ways to resolve and resolve these situations: here , that I am called into question often and willingly. My name is Massimo, I was born back in 1979, and I am the night receptionist of the Hotel Annunziata; my job is to sail (reminiscence of my job as an officer on cruise ships) the Hotel and you Guests from the day that just ended to the one that is about to begin, keeping watch on your well being and on your safety, always being available to satisfy your every need.
The Guests have christened me “Historian”, because I love History in general and of Ferrara in particular and in my free time I dedicate myself to my “way too many” passions, among which the main ones are listening to music (my favorite group ever is British Rock band Queen) and Painting.
